After some setbacks, the water wheel system has now been successfully put back into operation.
The overshot wheel has a diameter of D6.0m. The maximum power is 5.8kW and is limited by the water inlet with integrated bypass.

The system works with the Smart!wind SW5.5, 3-phase parallel to the grid.
In the event of a power failure or mains fault, the energy is directed to a 6.0 kW resistor and the system continues to rotate normally according to the set characteristic curve.
This means that over-tightening of the water wheel in the event of a mains failure / fault is not possible and safe operation is guaranteed.
The system is permanently monitored with a 24/7 mini PC.
