Antaris in the field test
In the field test from November 2007 to the end of January 2008, the ANTARIS generated 1,169 kWh of clean wind power! The repeller diameter is 3.5 m, the generator nominal power 2.5 kW, the hub height 20m. At the moment the turbine runs with a 3.5/5.5 kW generator, with the same repeller diameter. The […]
New wing profile
From the 2nd quarter of 2008 there will be a new wing profile for the repeller diameter of 3.5m. The criterion for this profile is a more efficient power generation at 4-6 m/sec. wind speed. This has already been successfully confirmed in initial field tests! To minimise noise, the blades are equipped with special turbulators.
Wind farm in Portugal
The first wind farm with 40 ANTARIS wind turbines in grid-parallel operation is currently being built in Portugal! The turbines each have an output of 3.6 kW, and completion is scheduled for the end of 2008.
Generators as low-speed
Due to increasing demand for slow-running generators, BRAUN Windturbinen GmbH manufactures PMG ́s that reach 125 VDC at approx. 50 rpm. The power is 2.5 kW at 100% overload capacity. Availability will be available from mid-October 2008.
October 2009
One of the ANTARIS 5.5 kW wind turbines has generated the remarkable amount of 68.0 kWh of clean wind power within 24 hours at a site in Ireland (22.10.2009). Remarkably, the repeller diameter is 3.5 m.
ANTARIS as a low-wind turbine
From the 4th quarter of 2009 , the ANTARIS will also be available as a low-wind turbine with a repeller diameter of 4.0m – 4.5m and an output of 5.5 kW. The generator version is 16-pole, gearless, brushless, maintenance-free and cogging-free at 5.5 kW / 12.5 kW. In grid-parallel operation, the use is carried out […]
December 2009
All ANTARIS 5.5 kW turbines produced up to 68 kWh of clean wind power per day at exposed locations in Portugal in December. In Portugal, one of the 3.5 kW turbines has achieved an annual yield of 4,600 kWh, while the solar power plant with the same output has a yield of 3,900 kWh. You […]
