On June 30, 2013, the extremely successful Windy Boy era will come to an end, and production will be discontinued by SMA.
For more than 10 years, BRAUN Windturbinen GmbH has accompanied and designed the production and development of the Windy Boys at SMA.
It is with sadness that we are now ending this successful project. The ups and downs we experienced together are remembered, but always with a clear goal in mind.
Due to the cooperative and constructive cooperation between SMA Technologie AG and BRAUN Windturbinen GmbH, continuous technical development of the ANTARIS wind turbines and the product development of the WINDY BOY has been achieved over the course of years of field tests.
We are now doing the same high level with our new partner Smart Power Electronics GmbH & Co. KG farther. We are particularly pleased with Smart Power’s high willingness to cooperate, as well as its willingness to further develop its products. This applies in particular to the optimal coordination of our generators with the Smart!wind inverters. Our 22 years of experience in the construction of small wind turbines also sets new standards in the field of product development at Smart Power Electronics. The result is a perfect symbiosis between the ANTARIS small wind turbines and the Smart!wind grid inverters, which sets new standards in the industry. The inverters are available in the power classes 5.5 kW, 7.5 kW and 10.0 kW. Of course, also suitable for water wheels and CHP use.
