In the very southeast of Tanzania (Mtwara), near the Indian Ocean, a Christian school is now being supplied with clean wind power .
The average wind speed here is 7 m/s and is relatively constant throughout the year, without major storms etc. (http://www.windfinder.com/windstatistics/mtwara).
The ANTARIS 6.5 kW works here on an 18 m high tilting mast in 3-phase parallel to the grid and supplies the school building with electricity together with a small PV system.
The system was organized and installed by volunteers and employees of the company WHSE (http://www.whse.de/cms/) under the construction management of Hans Hermann Freischlad.
The logistical and financial handling was organized by Forum Wiedenest (http://www.wiedenest.de/ueber-uns/ueber-uns.html).
Many thanks to our suppliers, who, like us, have participated in the project in terms of price.
If you have any questions about the project, please contact us. We will be happy to advise you in detail.
Joy in the wind, with ANTARIS small wind turbines!
