Today we celebrate a very special anniversary:
The journey of Braun Windturbinen GmbH began 30 years ago – a story full of vision, passion and pioneering spirit.
It all started in 1989 with an idea from my father, Dieter Braun.
His motivation at the time was as simple as it was ingenious:
He wanted to generate the electricity for our Christmas tree with a small wind turbine.
With a lot of curiosity, zest for action and countless “tinkering”, something took shape that became reality a few years later.
In 1995, our company officially launched – a moment that laid the foundation for everything we are today.
A special anecdote from this time:
Mr. Otto Palm, who actively supported me at the time, actually had a very practical idea. He wanted to develop a small wind turbine to keep the voles away from his fruit trees.
The permanent rattling noise was supposed to drive the animals away – at least that’s the theory. Even if this did not quite turn out to be the hoped-for solution to the mouse plague,
so it was a decisive impulse that drove us forward.
Today, three decades later, we look back with pride and gratitude to the future. Our wind turbines are not just a piece of technology – they are a contribution to a more sustainable future,
a legacy of my father’s vision and a promise to generations to come.
What started as an idea for the Christmas tree has now become real energy solutions for the world. This fills us with humility and great gratitude.
Today we can look back with pride:
Our Antaris wind turbines provide renewable energy to people all over the world. But it is even more important to look ahead – because the future belongs to renewable energies.
With innovative strength, conviction and the trust of our partners and customers, we will continue on this path.
